Orion SkyView Pro8 EQ Reflector

The SkyView Pro 8 EQ reflector telescope just got smarter. Because now it's available with the IntelliScope Computerized Upgrade Kit, which, once installed, will take you anywhere in its 14,000-object computer database that you want to go, quickly and quietly. You'll be able to find and view more objects in one evening than you ever could before!

The telescope features an 8" (203mm) parabolic primary mirror, which is a giant 73% leap ahead of a 6" telescope in light-gathering power. You can go way beyond the Messier Catalog with this scope. And for the Moon and planets, the SVP 8's 1000mm focal length (f/4.9) gives you the ability to resolve plenty of detail at high power.

The IntelliScope system is nonmotorized but is compatible with optional TrueTrack electronic drives for tracking and guiding (but not computerized slewing). One year limited warranty.

Orion Sirius 8 EQ- G Reflector

Superbly Mounted f/4.9 Reflector Excels For Imaging
To capture dramatic celestial portraits, you need a solid mount and, ideally, a telescope with a large aperture and a "fast" focal ratio of f/6 or less. The Sirius 8 f/4.9 reflector fills the bill nicely, adding GoTo pointing and a surprisingly affordable price tag, to boot.

Even if visual observing is your primary interest, it will give you years of wonderful views and efficient, computerized navigation. At its heart is an 8" parabolic mirror of 1000mm focal length. The tube features a 2" rack-and-pinion focuser with a 1.25" insert and threads for mounting a camera body (with appropriate T-ring) for prime-focus photography.

Command the telescope to locate any of 13,400+ objects selected from the menus on the pushbutton hand controller. With the built-in autoguider interface and periodic error correction (PEC) plus a polar axis scope for accurate polar aligning, you'll have an album full of killer astroimages in no time!

Orion® Atlas™ 10 EQ-G Reflectors

Space-Penetrating Powerhouses Fit for a King
N
ights under the stars will never be quite the same with the Atlas 10 EQ-G. They'll be much, much more rewarding. This scope's big 10" optics and newly engineered mount - now compatible with both GoTo and Standard dual-axis electronic hand controllers (your choice at time of purchase) - will show you what big-telescope performance is all about.

It starts with the optics. The Atlas 10 features a 254mm (10") parabolic mirror made from premium Pyrex® low-expansion glass for superior thermal stability. The upgraded 2" Crayford-style focuser has a 1.25" adapter to accommodate either size of eyepiece; a 1.25" 26mm Sirius Plössl comes standard, as does a 9x50 finder scope.

Then there's the mount. The beefy Atlas EQ-G provides stable support and motorized dual-axis control, courtesy of dual internal stepper motors that slew the scope at up to 3.4° per second and track with exceptionally low periodic error.

Orion 8in/200mm. f/4.0 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector OTA

  • High quality astrophotography with short exposure times
  • Best for photography but a fine visual scope as well
  • Compact (28", 16 lbs.), portable, easy to use
  • Affordably priced, even with recommended coma corrector
  • Includes dual-speed 2" Linear-bearing Crayford focuser which will not shift with heavy equipment attached
  • Smooth, precise focusing without vibration
  • Superior camera support, even with mid-size mount
  • High-quality BK-7 glass optics with enhanced reflectivity coatings (>91% reflectivity)
  • 8x50 finder scope, hinged tube rings, and cooling accelerator fan included

In keeping with Orion's philosophy of offering great astrophotographic gear at affordable prices, they are pleased to introduce our 8" f/4.0 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector. For wide field, deep-space imaging performance, this telescope has few rivals. Its big 8" aperture and fast f/4.0 focal ratio allow the capture of faint galaxies and nebulas with short photographic exposure times — and for a fraction of the price that a premium "Apo" refractor of even half its size would cost!
The Orion 8" f/4.0 Newtonian Astrograph Reflector is perfect for beginning and intermediate star shooters, and a great second telescope for more advanced imagers who want more portability, without sacrificing features and quality. That means bright, detailed images for APS-C sized CCD or DSLR cameras. As with any fast Newtonian reflector, an optional coma corrector is recommended to achieve the sharpest images. With an optional eyepiece, this telescope doubles as a fine visual instrument for scanning solar system and deep-space wonders.
Only 16 lbs. and just 28" long, this instrument is easily supported on a mid-sized mount. The 200mm-aperture parabolic primary mirror is made from high-quality BK-7 optical glass. Enhanced aluminium mirror coatings with greater than 91% reflectivity deliver more light to the focuser. A cooling accelerator fan is included, mounted on the back of the primary mirror cell for rapid equilibration to ambient temperature.
