Sirius™ Plössl Eyepieces
With a wide 50° apparent field ( 43° for the 40mm), Sirius Plössls eyepieces provide clear, sharp images of impressively high contrast. They are suitable for all telescope types: reflector, refractor and catadioptic.

Each 4-element Sirius Plössl is fully coated with magnesium fluoride on every air-to-glass surface. Lens edges are blackened to reduce scattering of stray light and maximize contrast. Lenses are mounted in black anodized aluminum housings with 1.25" chrome-plated brass barrels. Each is fitted with rubber eyeguards and internally threaded to accept standard filters.

Stratus™ Wide-Field (68°) Eyepieces

You'll Get The Big Picture With These Fully Multi-Coated "Sixty-Eights"
Enjoy a wide-field window into the heavens served up by Stratus eyepieces. With an apparent field of 68° -- which translates to a 71% greater viewing area than that of a typical Plossl -- Stratus eyepieces quite literally put more stars in your eyes. In the same way you feel more a part of the action watching a big-screen TV, with Stratus you will feel like you are really experiencing your celestial targets, rather than just viewing them from afar.

Each ocular features a monster 1-1/4"-diameter eye lens to look into. Each also has a generous 20mm of eye relief, so you'll get the "big picture" even if you wear eyeglasses. The optics are fully multi-coated to maximize light transmission to your eyes, and the lens edges are blackened to ensure excellent contrast.  

Stratus eyepieces fit in both 1.25" and 2" focusers. Each is threaded for filters and comes with protective lens caps.

Premium Plössls With Great New Features
Orion HighLight Plössls is our exclusive, premium line of 1.25" Plössl eyepieces with some noteworthy enhancements. HighLight eyepieces offer a generous 52° field of view (43° for the 40mm) and crisp, sharp images. The HighLights' 4-element optics are fully multi-coated -- every air-to-glass lens surface is multi-layer coated for the highest possible light transmission and better contrast. The lens edges are blackened for additional contrast enhancement.

The machined aluminum housings of the HighLight Plössls sport a distinctive anodized finish, with grip traction knurled right into the metal. Supple rubber eyeguards shield out extraneous light and fold down for eyeglass wearers.

The barrels of HighLight Plössls are precision-machined to a tolerance of +/- 0.05mm from the nominal specification, so you can be sure of a great fit in your diagonal or focuser. And of course they are internally threaded to accept filters.

Ultrascopic™ Illuminated Retical Eyepieces
Ideal for Astrophotographic Guiding or Polar Alignment
 This short focal-length eyepiece features a double crossline reticle that's illuminated by a red LED. Brightness is adjustable by turning a knob on the illuminator arm, and a helical focus adjustment keeps the crosshairs sharp.

The advanced seven-element lens configuration provides a flatter field than standard designs and more comfortable eye relief. Crisp, pinpoint star images span the 52° apparent field, and multi-coatings on the lenses ensure images of high fidelity.
